Where are we?

Time to start the blog again :)

Received a notice today in my junk mail asking if I wanted to keep "following" this blog - LOL didnt even remember starting this one :)  Looking at the entries it was when we drove our truck and trailer down to Mexico during 2013-14 winter. The truck only had 14,900KM when we crossed into Mexico.  Today we have 142000KM which is a lot since we drive it normally only 6 months of the year, except last winter when we drove to Honduras and back which was a 32,000KM trip.

Now we are getting close to our next trip away for the winter and since this blog came up I may use it to keep everyone who is interested updated as to where and what we are up to.

The plan for this winter starts Oct 13th when we will fly to Amsterdam along with my sister and spend 2 weeks in Holland. I have booked a cabin outside of Amsterdam for a week and then another one near Den Hague for a week. This will allow us to enjoy Amsterdam and visit relatives in the area for a week and then visit relatives in Den Hague area. After 2 weeks my sister flies back to Edmonton and we continue onto Athens.

We have a apartment booked in Athens for 5 nights to give us time to check out the ruins. Then we fly to Chania, Crete where we will stay in a small house for 2 months. From there we can take a ferry to other islands and explore. We hope the weather will be good for November and December. Jan 2 we fly to San Pedro Sula, Honduras to spend the next 3-4 months at our house near Balfate, Honduras.

So for the next month and a half we will continue to spend time in our 5th wheel trailer and travel around Alberta. We had a great summer travelling in BC and spending 3 weeks with our 3 youngest grandsons (3,4,7) camping in Cadomin, AB, Sunshine Valley, BC and Cultus Lake, BC.  We will also be flying out to Comox for a week to visit relatives mid September.  So time will be flying by and wont be long before we put the trailer and truck away in storage until next May.
